2012
Tecnoturbines is officially founded. The first prototype turbine for charging batteries is tested.
2013
Tecnoturbines is a finalist in the Repsol Foundation Entrepreneurs Fund. The first turbine prototype connected to grid is tested. Accepted into the KicInnoenergy acceleration programme.
2014
Tecnoturbines is the first-placed finalist in the 21st “EcoEmprendedor” Award. Accepted into the Fluidra acceleration programme. The Tecnoturbines project is presented at the AEDIR Congress.
2015
European Commission grant awarded under the Horizon 2020 programme to help develop the Hydro Low Head micro-turbine. First international sales in Europe, South America and North America.
2016
Accepted into ICEX Next, which is dedicated to the internationalization and consolidation of Spanish companies abroad. Signing distribution contracts with companies from the United Kingdom, Colombia and Japan.
2017
The first turbine in Colombia is installed in Aguas de Manizales, which allows the reduction of 114 tons of carbon dioxide in its polluting emissions per year.
2018
First project signed in Mexico. With a power generation of 135 kW, which allows to take advantage of the hydraulic resource on green energy.
2019
International growth continues, reaching new markets in Latin American, signing project in Costa Rica.
2020
SUNCOLOMBIA acquires the assets of Tecnoturbines, becoming the main partner and moves its headquarters to Seville, Spain.
